Crocodile Restaurant is a farm to table country French inspired restaurant located in downtown Petaluma. Crocodile was conceived and created by husband and wife team, Michael Dotson and Moira Beveridge who have worked together for 13 years in perfecting what they believe to be the perfect dining experience. We strive to capture and express a quality found in favorite small neighborhood bistros found in France: the sense of welcome, fun conversation and of course, excellent food.
Worldly Wine & Beers
We serve a beer and wine menu which is inspired by the old world traditions of France and Belgium while highlighting the fabulous array of small Breweries and family owned wineries at our back door, which is premium wine and craft beer country.
Our jovial dining room has something for everyone, with the option to dine at low, more formal dining tables, or to experience the full menu sitting at the bar or on a high bar top table. Last but not least, service is provided by our friendly, knowledgeable and efficient staff whose sole purpose is to ensure that you enjoy a highly pleasurable dining experience with us.
Part restaurant, part bar we combine the elegance of an old world cafe with the casual nature of a neighborhood eatery. We believe that this perfect formula of charm, liveliness and character enhances the dining experience.
Our Vision & Ideals
Our vision for Crocodile is to operate a classic French restaurant serving simple and creative food rich in the traditions of France, with a nod to American tastes, executed through the contemporary vision of Executive Chef and Partner Michael Dotson.
We use only the most pristine of produce and meats to showcase the wonderful variety of our local farms and we will prepare these products using both old world and modern technique, presented simply and free of pretention.
These products will be delivered or picked up daily by our Chef and the food will transform from traditional rustic cuisine to refined thoughtful dishes.
